Eric Lefkofsky founded Tempus due to a personal reason. In 2015, his wife got diagnosed with breast cancer. It was her journey that inspired Eric to focus on the area and find the company. The company has a direct connection with many other hospital systems across the globe. Eric Lefkofsky stated that there were about 800 hospitals that sent data regularly to Tempus at the end of Q2. The firm is connected to a vast hospital network that sends them data for patients for clinical trials. Tempus has a comprehensive clinical and molecular library.
